meet the team

Dr. Rod Manadero has been delivering dedicated chiropractic care for over 19 years. A graduate of Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia (2002), he began his academic journey at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. For nearly 14 years, he has proudly served the local community from his current office location, providing personalized and results-driven care. He continues to stay at the forefront of the field through ongoing education, ensuring his patients receive the most advanced and comprehensive chiropractic treatments available.

Recently, Dr. Manadero extended his healing hands beyond borders, offering chiropractic care to underserved communities in Thailand, helping refugees from Myanmar (Burma)—an experience that deepened his commitment to service and global wellness.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Manadero lives an active and adventurous life. A lifelong athlete, his passions include surfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), mountain biking, backpacking, golfing, and tennis—with surfing always holding the top spot. These days, he spends much of his time with his growing family—two daughters, a young son, and his wife, who hails from the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. Their shared love for travel and the ocean often takes them to new destinations, always chasing the next great wave.

Dr. Manadero is also a devoted Christ follower and active member of a non-denominational church in Yorktown, VA. He believes faith and prayer play a vital role in healing and well-being, and he prays regularly for the health and recovery of his patients. His compassionate care and commitment to whole-body healing have helped countless individuals regain their strength, mobility, and quality of life.

MILO & MOCHI

Chief Happiness Officers

Milo and Mochi, our lovable Mini Australian Shepherds, are the part-time joy bringers at Manadero Chiropractic. As Chief Happiness Officers, their mission is simple: spread smiles, ease nerves, and make every visit feel like home.

Milo, the older of the two, is a calm and loyal companion known for his soothing presence and gentle demeanor. Mochi, his younger brother, is full of playful energy and curiosity, always eager to make new friends and sneak in a cuddle or two. Together, they offer emotional support, wagging tails, and the occasional comic relief.

These clever pups are proof that healing comes in many forms, including four paws and a lot of love. Don’t be surprised if they come over to say hello—they take their job very seriously (especially when treats are involved).

What our patients are saying

  • “I’ve been to several chiropractors over the years, but none have compared to the care I’ve received from Dr. Manadero. He truly stands out! His attention to detail and genuine care for his patients are second to none. If you’re looking for chiropractic care, I highly recommend Dr. Manadero!”

    - LANCE

  • “10 Stars!! The best chiropractor I've ever been to! I'm 54 and I've been to at least 12 or more chiropractors through the years. Under Dr. Manadero's care, I feel that my spinal health is the best it's been in decades! When I started with Dr. Manadero, I didn't have any feeling in my right foot and couldn't move my toes. Within a few weeks I could move my toes and had full feeling return in my foot.”

    - JULIA

  • “Dr. Manadero is genuinely caring, kind, and trustworthy, and his treatment is individualized to the needs of the patient.  Dr. Manadero has no gimmicks or required visits, just a genuine belief in helping others.  I am able to maintain a healthy lifestyle with his help.  His massage therapist is the best in the area as well.  Altogether, my experience at Manadero Chiropractic has always been nothing but stellar.”

    - TERRY

  • “I can’t begin to explain how much pain I was in when I first came in to see you. I had not gotten a full night’s sleep for about a month and a half. Yet, just after my first adjustment I was able to get a full night’s sleep again. You have definitely improved my quality of life and I just wanted you to know how sincerely grateful I am. Thank you for being such a good Doctor and friend.”

    - SAM

  • “He is a good man and has "the gift" of knowing what it takes to fix you up. nothing extra, just what you need, not excessive treatments to collect money, he just does not operate that way. Fix the pain and see you in a few weeks.  Dr M. uses a traction tool [spinal decompression therapy] that is fabulous for decompression, it works and has been used on both sides of body to recover pinched nerves to a like new condition. And a very friendly, concerned and attentive office staff. Always on top of insurance and co-pay data, with a smile and a kind word.”

    - JOHN

  • “Description gDr. Manadero has done a great job in not only taking care of me, but my husband and 2 children. He really took an active approach to make sure that I got better. I was diagnosed with a bulging disc and surgery was recommended, I saw Dr. Manadero and I am happy to say the pain is no longer there. I said goodbye to surgery. He did some decompression therapy and adjusted my spine and I am now a new person. He's the best on the Peninsula! Give him a tryoes here.”
