ROD J. MANADERO, D.C
Dr. Rod Manadero has been delivering dedicated chiropractic care for over 22 years. A graduate of Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia (2002), he began his academic journey at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. For over 17 years, he has proudly served the local community from his current office location, providing personalized and results-driven care. He continues to stay at the forefront of the field through ongoing education, ensuring his patients receive the most advanced and comprehensive chiropractic treatments available.
Recently, Dr. Manadero extended his healing hands beyond borders, offering chiropractic care to underserved communities in Thailand, helping refugees from Myanmar (Burma)—an experience that deepened his commitment to service and global wellness.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Manadero lives an active and adventurous life. A lifelong athlete, his passions include surfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), mountain biking, backpacking, some golfing, and tennis—with surfing always holding the top spot. These days, he spends much of his time with his growing family—two daughters, a teen son, and his wife, who hails from the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. Their shared love for travel and the ocean often takes them to new destinations, always chasing the next great wave.
Dr. Manadero is also a devoted Christ follower and attends a non-denominational church in Yorktown, VA. He believes faith and prayer play a vital role in healing and well-being, and he prays regularly for the health and recovery of his patients. His compassionate care and commitment to whole-body healing have helped countless individuals regain their strength, mobility, and quality of life.

MARINA
Accounts and Insurance Manager
Marina is the heart and backbone of Manadero Chiropractic, a trusted family-run practice in Coastal Virginia. As the practice manager, Marina seamlessly juggles multiple responsibilities—overseeing insurance, managing accounts, handling front desk operations, and assisting with therapies—ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly and patients receive personalized, compassionate care.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Marina's life journey has been one of adaptability, dedication, and creativity. She attended the esteemed Naval College in Gordon’s Bay and served in the South African Navy before moving to the United States in 2000. The move came after she met her husband, Dr. Rod Manadero, in Atlanta during a cultural exchange program in 1998.
In addition to her work in the chiropractic field, Marina has recently reignited her lifelong passion for photography. She first discovered her love for the art in the early 1990s while attending an art school at her high school in Newlands, South Africa, where photography was her specialty. Today, she is the creative force behind her studio, Marina MacKinnon Photo, where she captures heartfelt moments for seniors, babies, and families across the community.
Marina also studied dental hygiene and brings that precision and care into her everyday work with her husband. Despite her many professional roles, family remains her highest priority. She is a devoted mother of three: her eldest daughter is entering her third year at the U.S. Naval Academy, her middle child is starting their senior year at Menchville High School, and her youngest is just beginning high school there as a freshman.
Though most of her extended family still resides in South Africa, Marina makes it a point to visit them every few years, keeping her deep family roots strong.
MILO & MOCHI
Chief Happiness Officers
Milo and Mochi, our lovable Mini Australian Shepherds, are the part-time joy bringers at Manadero Chiropractic. As Chief Happiness Officers, their mission is simple: spread smiles, ease nerves, and make every visit feel like home.
Milo, the older of the two, is a calm and loyal companion known for his soothing presence and gentle demeanor. Mochi, his younger brother, is full of playful energy and curiosity, always eager to make new friends and sneak in a cuddle or two. Together, they offer emotional support, wagging tails, and the occasional comic relief.
These clever pups are proof that healing comes in many forms, including four paws and a lot of love. Don’t be surprised if they come over to say hello—they take their job very seriously (especially when treats and ear scratches are involved).
